Jason Malseed is pleased to present a truly unique piece of Mount Schank history, offering approximately 19.5 acres of productive land, established infrastructure and expansive rural views, together with a character-filled home dating back to 1890. Known as "The Old Post Office House", the property has a fascinating connection to the Mount Schank community. The home was used intermittently as the Mount Schank Post Office from 1911 through to 1984 and also served as the local telephone exchange. Over the generations, the property has been home to several well-known local families, including the Ashby family, adding another layer to the story behind this historic holding. The existing three-bedroom home is ready for its next chapter and presents an exciting opportunity for those with a vision to restore and renovate a piece of local history. Retaining plenty of original character, along with later additions including stone features, the home provides an excellent foundation for a thoughtful transformation that celebrates its heritage while creating a comfortable country residence. Surrounding the home is approximately 19.5 acres of exceptionally good soil, providing plenty of scope for a productive lifestyle property. Whether your plans include livestock, horses, extensive gardens, a small-scale agricultural pursuit or simply enjoying the freedom of additional space, the land offers flexibility for a range of rural lifestyle uses. The property is well fenced and already benefits from an established bore and power, while mature trees provide an established country setting around the home. Two paddocks are currently in place with troughs, providing useful infrastructure for those looking to run animals. Adding to the appeal are the expansive rural views and peaceful Mount Schank setting, offering a genuine sense of space and country living while remaining within convenient reach of Mount Gambier and the coastal communities of the Limestone Coast. With its combination of productive soil, established infrastructure, approximately 19.5 acres and a home with more than 130 years of history, this property represents much more than a renovation project. It is an opportunity to restore an important piece of Mount Schank's past and create something truly special for the future.
